Little bit of Migration
It seems that more birds left the county than arrived last night. A few migrants were seen in The Meadowlands and The Palisades. 3 Common Loons flew north over Richard DeKorte Park around 7:30 am. Eastern Meadowlark was seen in Overpeck County Park. Many Double-crested Cormorants and Common Grackles were seen flying along the Hudson River and Palisades. Winter Wren and Louisiana Waterthrush were singing in the Palisades. A Broad-winged Hawk was seen in Mahwah. More Snowy Egrets (9) were seen in DeKorte with the continuing Redhead, Canvasbacks and Horned Grebe.
